Our congregation worships together both in-person and online every Sunday at 10:30am. There are three primary ways you can join us online:
Weekly we gather to worship, sharing our gratitude and joy for the journey of faith, and we go into the world to serve, embracing and being embraced by a world where God is present.
Holy Communion is celebrated on the first Sunday of every month.
There are various parking meters in and around the Summit Downtown Business District and the Summit train Station.
On Sunday, all meters are free. Additionally, Summit offers parking in five lots:
Parking spots are also available on both sides of DeForest Ave. on Sundays and holidays. For more info, visit the Summit Downtown parking website.
Worship is not confined to Sunday Morning. Throughout the year, special worship services are held to celebrate significant Church holidays and important events of our lives.
The four weeks prior to Christmas are known as Advent. Throughout these weeks we prepare for the arrival of the Messiah into our lives and into our world. The word Advent literally means “coming,” or “arrival,” and so the Advent season is the time of waiting and watching.
Christmas Eve is an evening of joy and celebration. We have two services on Christmas Eve: a family friendly service and a more traditional candlelight service. All are welcome as we celebrate God’s gift to us in Jesus Christ.
During the season of Lent, special services are held each Wednesday night focusing on a Lenten theme. Each week a different scripture passage is used to focus on understanding how we can carry out Christ’s directions in our lives. Each service is preceded by a soup supper and all are welcome. Ash Wednesday, Palm Sunday, Maundy Thursday, and Good Friday are especially holy days in which we honor the story of Christ’s journey to the Cross.
